Experience this classic E.T.A. Hoffmann tale and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed by a full orchestra, Elise Unruh, Conductor.
SBFB takes you on a magical journey full of wonderment and surprise with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince. Audiences are enthralled with Herr Drosselmeyer’s Clock Work Dolls dancing to life, a giant Christmas Tree growing beyond the stage, and one being transported to the Kingdom of Sweets where wonders galore captivate with Dancing Snowflakes, enchanted Waltzing Flowers, and audience favorite Mother Ginger.
Featuring Professional Guest Artists , Santa Barbara Festival Ballet Company Dancers, UCSB Dept of Dance and student dancers comprise a cast of 100 plus characters .
Under the Artistic Direction of Aimee Lopez, this Nutcracker has delighted generations throughout our Central Coast for decades. Beautifully costumed and staged, Nutcracker At The Arlington is recognized as one of the rare and longest continuously running productions in the USA performed with a live orchestra! A true Santa Barbara Holiday Tradition - Celebrating its 43rd Year!
