State Street turned into Hollywood Blvd as Angelina Jolie arrived to greet her adoring fans.

Angelina was on hand to be presented with the 2008 Outstanding Performance Award for her role as Marianne Pearl in A Mighty Heart. With husband Brad Pitt by her side, the movie star power couple was very gracious as they shook hands, signed autographs, and posed for photos while slowly making their way into the Arlington Theater.

Inside, moderator Pete Hammond, pleasantly took the audience down the path of Angelina’s glorious life and film career. The 33 year old actress and daughter of Academy Award winner Jon Voight has already appeared in 35 feature films so far. She has won the Oscar, 3 Golden Globes, 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards, and 15 other acting awards. The audience was shown films clips of Girl Interrupted, The Bone Collector, Lara Croft, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. At this point, Mr. Hammond encouraged Angelina to do the sequel of this film. . .a notion which rang cheers with the audience.

Brad Pit and fansAngelina demonstrated humor and class. She laughed at her movie misfire with Cyborg 2 and came and spoke openly about her work helping the less fortunate in many third world countries. She showed her devotion to kinship as she has given all of her awards to her brother.

Angelina showed everyone she is a woman wearing many hats: actress, devoted wife and mother, committed humanitarian. She along with husband Brad definitely walk the walk. They have both been building homes for hurricane victims in New Orleans while taking residence there themselves.

In A Mighty Heart, Angelina plays the wife of Danny Pearl, the Wall Street reporter murdered by Islamic terrorists. With full command of her career present and past, Angelina declared this movie as the most important film she will ever do.

The highlight of the evening came at the end when Clint Eastwood, her director of her current film, The Changeling, was on hand to present the 2008 Outstanding Performance Award. Clint Eastwood, like Peter Hammond urged her to keep this award for herself. She smiled, thanked everyone, and probably called her brother later that night saying another one was on the way.
