Santa Barbara International Film Festival Wrestles Down Another Honoree
The 24th Santa Barbara International Film Festival Presents Mickey Rourke With The American Riviera Award
WHO: The 24th Santa Barbara Film Festival honors Mickey Rourke with the American Riviera Award. Rourke’s breakout performance in The Wrestler has garnered him a Golden Globe Award as well as an Oscar nomination. World-renowned writer, director and producer, Francis Ford Coppola, will be giving the award to Rourke.
WHAT: The American Riviera Award is presented to a performer with an outstanding achievement in American film. Established in 1995, it was created to honor an individual who has enriched our culture through his/her accomplishments in the motion picture industry. Past recipients include Tommy Lee Jones, Forrest Whitaker, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kevin Bacon and Diane Lane.
